Harbes Orchard Apple Festival
Apples are the main theme at Harbes’ annual Apple Festival this weekend. The event will run on Saturday, September 10 and Sunday, September 11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Enjoy apple picking, apple rolling contests and apple cider donuts. There will also be hayrides, pony rides, a corn maze, pumpkin picking, plus food and wine tasting.
Apple picking is $8 per person, the corn maze is $10 for ages 13 and up, $8 for ages 3 to 12. Hay rides and pony rides are $5 per person.

Hallockville Fall Festival & Craft Show
Celebrate the 36th Annual Hallockville Fall Festival and Craft Show at Hallockville Museum Farm on Saturday, September 10 and Sunday, September 11. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Craft and artisan vendors will sell handmade woodcrafts, jewelry, handknit items, artwork, jams and jellies. There will be basketweaving, wood carving, wood working, quilting demonstrations and more. The Long Island Antique Power Association will have a tractor pull and their antique sawmill will be operating. There will also be live music, food, farm animals and children’s activities.
Admission is $8 for ages 13 and up, $5 for ages 5 to 12, and children 4 and under are free. Family admission tickets (two adults, two children) are available for $20. Hallockville Museum Farm is located at 6038 Sound Avenue in Riverhead. For more information, visit hallockville.com.
“Plant, Pick, Pour” at Palmer Vineyards
Learn about the grape harvest at Palmer Vineyards this Saturday, September 10 from noon to 3 p.m.
Take a walk through the vineyard with winemaker Miguel Martin to learn about the process. You will see how the grapes are picked and placed into the wine press. Then enjoy a special barrel room tasting accompanied by small food plates.
Tickets are $45 per person and can be purchased in advance or at the door.

Bike To Breakfast
Take a group bike ride from Stotzky Park to breakfast at Briermere Farms this Sunday, September 11.
All ages are invited to participate, just bring your own bike and meet in Stotzky Park at 9 a.m.

The North Fork Foodie Tour
Sample some of the best the North Fork has to offer at the 10th annual North Fork Foodie Tour.
Visit 20 North Fork farms, wineries and food producers to get a behind-the-scenes look at small-scale farming and food and wine production.
Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased at www.northforkreformsyngogue.org. Children under 12 are free and proceeds from the event benefit North Fork Reform Synagogue. Tickets can also be purchased at Gallery M in Greenport, Complement the Chef in Southold, Mattituck Florist, Barth’s Pharmacy in Riverhead and Southampton Books on the South Fork.
Tickets can also be purchased the day of the event at any Foodie Tour location.
